Job Information

General Responsibilities:

Ensure an adequate and reliable supply of raw water to our internal and external customers, which is accomplished by foresight, planning, and coordination with other departments in anticipating demand and available supply. Ensure that we receive and maintain accurate and reliable data by monitoring local and remote SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and related hardware to ensure proper function.

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitor and operate Raw Water Pump Stations to ensure adequate supply through pumps and valves, recognition of alarms, and dispatch appropriate maintenance personnel as the situation requires
• Assist in monitoring filtration tanks
• Operate the switchboard and navigates SAP system to perform customer service duties Dispatch maintenance for customer service issues; issue work orders Supports customer service on overflows of customer calls and callbacks
• Inspect the building each shift inside and out for any unusual occurrences, ie, a/c unit, blower and boiler rooms, generator, power panel, alarm systems, upstairs to lab area, and respond appropriately
• Support internal departments as needed to ensure the fulfillment of the department's mission
• Perform clerical duties for Manager/Superintendent
• Communicate professionally with customers and fellow employees using courtesy and tact
• Support IT Management of Wide Area Network by reporting outages and other problems on the WAN
• This position is expected to respond to on-call emergency and natural disaster responsibilities
• Perform all work safely in accordance with established safety policies and procedures Comply with all safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications

Experience:

Three (3) years of Purification or Raw Water-related experience are required.  Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access preferred.

• Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction 
• Finger dexterity is required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard 
• Communication skills using the spoken word

• Ability to hear within normal range 
• Ability to move about
