Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am until 4:30 pm

Salary: $21.48 ($44,688.82 - $63,647.71)- $30.60

General Responsibilities

Under general supervision performs various tasks in the maintenance of the Board’s mapping system and records retention.

Essential Job Functions

1. Perform a variety of duties in support of the Board’s Mapping and Records Department.

2. Update and maintain water system maps, records, and databases per construction drawings, as-built drawings, and other documentation received when work has been completed.

3. Coordinate with various departments in the researching, investigating, and revision of mapping/data discrepancies.

4. Assist in the correction and maintenance of as-built/record drawings for all Board facilities (administration buildings, filter plants, pump stations, tanks, etc.…).

5. Process annexations, de-annexations, right-of-way vacations, zoning notices, and property boundary changes received from local municipalities and agencies.

6. Interpret and disseminate information (i.e. deeds, leases, right-of-ways, property covenants, contracts, agreements, etc.…) received by various internal and external sources to ensure it is categorized and filed in compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the Board.

7. Assist in the development of contract drawings for proposed water main installation using surveys, plats, construction drawings and other pertinent information (i.e. county parcel maps, tax maps, aerial maps and other project records).

8. Provide assistance to internal personnel, consultants, contractors, and external customers in the filling of map and record requests.

9.  Assist in troubleshooting software, hardware, printer, and other technical issues that may arise and work with appropriate staff to resolve issues.

10. Provide support in the updating and maintaining of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping as needed.

11.  Perform additional duties and responsibilities as requested or directed.

Associate’s degree in Drafting, or closely related technical field from an accredited institution.


Two years of Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) experience; Microstation experience is preferred. Candidates with ESRI ArcGIS experience are preferred.
