Job Title: Organizational Development Specialist                                   Department: Human Resources

General Responsibilities

Define, implement, evaluate, and increase overall employee effectiveness by enhancing leadership capacity, analyzing data to identify areas of improvement proactively, working with oversight in organization-wide employee development initiatives, facilitating training and collaborating to support critical change through HR business efforts.  Conduct needs analysis, formulate recommendations, and support the development and implementation of formal learning programs. Assist in creating, administering, and tracking assessments, metrics, and evaluations to measure learning impact.

 

Essential Job Functions

  1. Design/deliver leadership development & performance management programs to support organizational growth.
  2. Develops, designs, and delivers innovative, result-oriented training programs and activities (customer service, compliance training, employee engagement, etc.)
  3. Provide leadership/management coaching.
  4. Provide internal consulting for improving organizational, leadership, team and/or individual performance.
  5. Design and implement methods for obtaining data (e.g., surveys, interviews and departmental policy and procedure manuals) for the purpose of improving employee performance.
  6. Consult with departments to develop career paths, including necessary training and on-the-job learning requirements/programs.
  7. Evaluate current business processes and recommend improvements.

  1. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
  2. Create and implement programs that connect employees with business goals.
  3. Facilitates and assist in the development of key performance measures throughout the organization.
  4. Identify performance gaps and determine training needs.
  5. Develop job specific training including developing material.
  6. Develop/revise and keep current all training manuals and materials.
  7. Ensure BWWB University is kept up to date by gathering and submitting relevant material as assigned.
  8. Collect required training documentation and assist in developing an annual training calendar.

Essential Job Functions Con't

  1. Administer external training program by marketing classes to other organizations using various tools (i.e., cold calling, sending letters, attending conferences, etc.).
  2. Perform all work safely in accordance with established safety policies and procedures. Comply with all safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management.
  3. Maintains and protects sensitive and private information by keeping employee records confidential in accordance with HIPAA, local, state, and federal laws, and regulations. Ensures that PHI/ePHI of employees, plan participants, patients, and/or other assigned individuals is maintained and transmitted in a secure and legally compliant manner.
  4. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Design, or job-related field.

Experience

Five (5) years of experience in organizational development and learning and development (including training design, development, and delivery) related work.  Demonstrated experience using OD tools and techniques in a corporate organizational environment.  Experience in business transformation projects including process improvement and change management.  Excellent oral/written communication, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities, along with familiarity of teaching concepts will also be expected.  Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; strong PC skills (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel); excellent training/presentation skills using adult learning concepts.  Experience working in a team environment; strong planning/organizing & time management skills; and demonstrated problem-solving skills.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Valid Driver’s License required

One of the below certifications is required within 18 months of eligibility:

  • ODPC – OD Process Consultant Certification Program
  • ODCP – OD Certification Program

Work Enviroment

Moderate Noise (Business Office)

Occasionally visit job sites, in plants or outdoors, exposed to extreme hot/cold and or wet weather conditions. May work around machinery, etc. and be subject to loud noises
