General Responsibilities
We seek a dedicated and responsible Summer Teacher/Driver to fill a temporary position for four weeks. The primary role of the YWA Summer Teacher/Driver will be to transport students to various destinations throughout the summer while ensuring their safety and accurately tracking their working hours.
Essential Job Functions
- Safely transport students to multiple destinations in a timely manner, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey.
- Follow pre-determined routes and schedules, adjusting for traffic or other unexpected circumstances as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, regularly conducting safety inspections and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
- Professionally and courteously interact with students, their parents, and the BWWB YWA Coordinator.
- Keep accurate records of hours worked for each student assigned
authorities and school administrators.
- Assist in the supervision and guidance of students during the transportation periods.
- Support and contribute to an inclusive and respectful environment that fosters positive student engagement.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in education or a related field would be advantageous.
-Current ALABAMA Teaching Certificate
Experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a driver, preferably with a history of working with students or children.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Exceptional time management skills to ensure prompt and accurate arrival and pickup times.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to the established schedule and guidelines.
- Flexibility to accommodate any necessary adjustments to routes or schedules.
- Patience, maturity, and a proven ability to maintain calmness in stressful situations.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening required.
